Abode Air Conditioning designs and installs heat pumps and air conditioning systems for homes and businesses across Greater Wellington, from Levin to Masterton. Every job starts with a thorough site assessment, backed by in-house mechanical engineering, so the system matches how your space is actually used.

A modern heat pump provides heating, cooling, dehumidifying and air purification from a single system. Better insulation and double glazing keep warmth in during winter but can also trap heat in summer, making year-round climate control essential.
Healthy Homes assessments for landlords are also part of our residential climate control work.

Every home heats differently, which is why Abode uses engineering calculations to select the right heat pump system for reliable comfort, improved efficiency and lower running costs.
Rising gas prices are seeing more Wellington households switch to efficient electric hot water heat pumps. A properly selected system can significantly reduce running costs while providing reliable hot water every day.
Ducted systems and larger projects need proper engineering rather than guesswork. Heat loss, airflow velocity, kilowatt output per room and air balancing are all calculated in-house.
The best results come from involving Abode at the architect stage, and our HVAC design service covers residential and commercial builds.

Condensation, mould and stale air often point to a ventilation problem rather than a heating one. Positive pressure systems suit older, naturally leakier homes, while balanced heat recovery systems such as Mitsubishi Lossnay work better in airtight modern builds.

Our commercial HVAC work includes medical centres, hospitals, hotels, schools and multi-storey buildings across Wellington and the Wairarapa. We work with a range of commercial systems, including Daikin and Mitsubishi VRV/VRF systems, chillers, air handling units and ducted ventilation, as well as providing IQP sign-off and Building Warrant of Fitness documentation.
